Singapore is still the best...
13th - 19th March. The 4 of us embark on a mission to save China. But we had to endure a 5 hr flight to our destination. Shanghai. I've been there twice before, and both times it was for work. This is the first time I'm going there for holiday. And what a holiday it was. 4 went, and 4 came back sick...jin best.
Anyway, let me introduce the 4 main characters first. Me...u guys should know me. No need to say so much liao. Anthony aka Mao...I think some of u dunno him. Nvm then. Next up, Ivan. Same. The people who know him will know Mao also. Lastly, Calven. See above description.
A good-hearted lady went to pick up Ivan, then Mao then me then send us to the airport. Thanks alot ah...but I already give u a gift...so quit asking me to give u a treat !!! Met up with Calven at the airport at 8am, checked in, and proceeded to wreck havoc at the waiting gates with our laughter. Our flight is 10am and we reached Shanghai Pudong airport at around 3pm. Damn...what a boring flight. Can't fall asleep. Lucky Ivan lend me his PSP for about 1.5hrs. When I finally start to fall asleep, someone told me to straighten my seat and keep the trays back and switch off my ipod. Damn...
Reached the airport and proceeded to take the Maglev train from the airport to the city centre. It costs me 50RMB, and the trip took about 8mins. It was the most expensive short trip I've ever taken, but it was also the fastest. Was travelling at 430km/hr at one point.

The whole distance was around 30km. Reached the city centre and we took their MRT to 人民广场 and walked to our hotel. Checked in the hotel, rest awhile and it's out to find something to fill our stomachs.

Checking in...

Our first bite in Shanghai.
Our hotel is situated at Nanjing Road, the famous shopping street in Shanghai. Always got people. No difference from Orchard Road, only that the things are cheaper, the air is dirtier, the wind is colder and most importantly, the gals are prettier over in Shanghai. Everywhere we go, you can hear us say...wah...chio chio chio....wah....swee swee.....wah....best best......
Nothing much was done in our first night in Shanghai. Walked all the way to the Bund and there was fog everywhere. KNN. Waste my time. And we ate alot. Really alot...

Went to bed early to prepare for the next day. I shared a room with Mao, cos Calven and Ivan cannot tahan snoring. For me, no problem, cos I can sleep anywhere and everywhere. OK....except on a plane. And in a disco. And in a pub. And in a jungle infested with mosquitos.
2nd day. Walked all the way to the Bund. Again. But this time, we will be crossing the tunnel and go up the Mingzhu Tower, which I did not manage to do on my previous 2 trips. Paid 120RMB for the journey across the tunnel and up the tower to see the whole Shanghai from the top.

Guess this is the only picture with all 4 of us...

And the ticket entitled us to a visit to the museum featuring the old Shanghai. Was indeed an eye-opener. Alot of babes were inside the museum !!! Took a lot of the babes pictures. Beg me and maybe I let u see the pics. On our way back, we were approached by 2 gals who were trying to make us go drink coffee with them. Since the 2 of them were not that pretty, we lost interest and carried on walking, ignoring them. Hahaha. At night, Calven suggested we go Attica Shanghai. Me and Mao agreed. Ivan didn't join us cos he was feeling abit sick and decided to rest in the hotel. So after dinner and some rest, we went to wait for a cab near our hotel. Guess we waited around 1hr and you can still see 3 idiots waiting in the cold for a goddamn bloody Shanghai cab. Didn't managed to get. Then suddenly Mao said something. I'm hungry. We turned and scanned around. KFC !!! The 3 of us decided to go eat KFC. Smsed Ivan about our plan and he came down to joined us. In the restaurant, we saw the 2 gals inside and they pretend not to see us. Heng ah...thought they would come and "harass" us again...hahaha
3rd day. Went to Yu Yuan and the 城皇庙. Wah...more babes !!! Beg me and I'll let you see the pics. Yu Yuan was damn fucking crowded. Everywhere got people. Everywhere got babes.

Me, Mao and Ivan at Yu Yuan.

Bought quite a few things there. Went inside the 城皇庙 and prayed. Then we went to Huaihai Road, another shopping street. At night, we went to Attica. The journey there was tiring. Since we did not know how to go, we stopped a cab and said we wanna go to this place. The cab driver told us not far from here. Can walk there. Ok lor...so we walked. And walked. And walked. And walked. Walked for about 1hr...kao...still cannot find the place. As we walked and walked, suddenly Ivan called out...there...Attica...Wah lau... it's inside a building and there's no lights or whatever fuck. Only a sign. Attica Shanghai. Kaoz. So we went in around 10 plus and came out around 12 plus. Why so early? Cos the crowd comes in only at 3am and we got a train to catch the next day morning. Fuck the crowd. So late then come in for fuck?
4th day. Boarded a train to Suzhou. At the Shanghai train station, the scene was scary. Alot of people were camping outside the station. For what I also dunno. All I can say is that I'm starting to miss Singapore already. Everyone was rushing to get onto the train when it arrived. Why the fuck would you want to cheong when you already have seats allocated to you? Siao...everyone was rushing and only the 4 of us relac relac. the journey was about 1hr and we took a cab to our hotel. All I can say is that while the air at the Suzhou train station was damn jialat, the air at our hotel location was damn good. Felt so relaxing and we went for our dinner. Not much happening in Suzhou.
5th day. Boarded another train to Wuxi. It was a last min decision to visit Wuxi. After we reached there, the first thing is to find a hotel and we found it in 5mins. Hotels were everywhere near the Wuxi train station. Checked in and proceeded to our destination. The water Margins and the 3 Kingdoms filmsite. The CCTV had built these 2 filmsites out from nowhere and shot these 2 films. After the filming was done, they retained the 2 filmsites and used it as a tourist attraction. As usual, spent about 4 hrs there. 3 kingdoms leh...my fav...must take all the pics. Used to see all these sights on TV, and now I'm really in that place. Amazing. And the horse urine smell...amazing also.

Me and Calven. If you got watch the Stephen Chow show about Tang Bohu, you would remember how the 4 of them walked on the bridge. A pity that Edmund and Alvin were not here...

The Taihu. The 3rd largest saltwater lake in China.

Me and Calven did abit of role-playing.

Me checking his pulse before going to war.

And here I am, giving out orders to him to attack.

And he failed and I had to escort him to jail...
6th day. Took a train from Wuxi back to Shanghai and spent the whole buying things for people back home. Went out empty handed and came back not empty handed...ok...I know...lame...
Finally, on the last day, went back to Pudong airport and wasted another 5 hrs of my life on a boring flight. I miss SQ and CX flights...and the stewardess.......
A strange phenomen occurred when we were in China. Every restaurant we went to, it was almost empty, or empty. No customers. However, after we sit down and begin our meal, the restaurants suddenly became crowded. Happened alot of times. Dunno why also.
Actually, I took alot of pics during this trip. But it's impossible to post all of them here. So...beg me...and I'll let u see them.
